AVID Field Trip

Freshmen AVID was offered the opportunity to go on a college tour, and see CSUN and Cal Poly. The drive took FOREVER, but we had a wonderful time. We had the chance to explore CSUN, its amazing Gym, Yoga Center, magnificent library as well as see students working hard towards their degrees.

Once we left CSUN we made our way to Cal Poly. Unfortunately, we did not have a tour guide, but students were allowed to explore the campus through a scavenger hunt. Some of our very own Freshmen won!!!! Ms. Longshore bought the winning team Cal Poly shirts.

It was a wonderful, day and I am so thankful that I had the chance to spend time exploring colleges with our AVID family. And if you were not able to make it to this tour, there will be plenty more in the future, and I am looking forward to all of them.
